In May 31, 2008, a meeting to discuss the progress of the Joint Collaboration Project between Tongji University and Kyoto University was held at the old campus of Tongji University in Shanghai. Present at the meeting from Kyoto University were Professor Kiyoshi Kobayashi, Associate Professor Nobuhiro Uno, Mr. Mina Christakis and Mr. Yuji Kobayashi and from Tongji University Professor Guanzeng Zhang, Professor Xiaoguang Yang, Professor De Wang, Professor Xiaodong Pan, Professor Song Zhang and Assistant Professor Meiping Yun.
